Maker's Mark 46 Kentucky Bourbon

Maker's 46 begins its life as Maker's Mark Bourbon, aged in charred American oak barrels. Then Maker’s 46 takes a detour. We separate fully matured Maker’s Mark and age it a bit longer inside barrels containing carefully seared French-oak staves. The seared staves and extra aging add more vanilla, more caramel and more oak taste to Maker’s 46. The result is a bigger, bolder, more complex bourbon that isn’t an “acquired” taste. You’ll enjoy it from the very first sip.

Aroma

This whiskey has a toffee sweetness and the flavor of saw dust from freshly cut wood. Has a very toasty aroma, with sweet spices and deep, thick caramel.

Taste

This whiskey offers plenty of sweetness from classic wheated Maker’s profile, as well as bunch more spice and balance from the oak. Honey, caramelized sugar and red berries load the front end of the sip, with a decent vanilla spice, a light dash of cinnamon sugar, and a perfect amount of charred oak to help balance the sweetness.

Finish

A natural movement of the palate with sweet spices, honey, caramelized sugar and berries. A hint of vanilla and cinnamon. Just the right amount of charred oak to round out the flavor of this bourbon. A whiskey to own for any whiskey lover.

Approx. cost: 40.00 USD
