Monkey Shoulder Blended Malt Scotch Whisky
A superb blended malt whisky from William Grant, Monkey Shoulder is a mix of three different neighboring Single Malt distilleries in Dufftown - Glenfiddich, Balvenie and Kininvie. The result is a smooth, creamy, supple and very malty Scotch which works superbly well neat, over ice, or in whisky cocktails (where it really excels). It makes the best whisky sours of your life. Aroma
The nose of this triple mat scotch is inviting with vanilla, honey, sawdust, sultanas, pears and cocoa.
Taste
You get a big honey hit upfront, oak, spices, orange zest. A hint of toasted butter and dried fruit. I cannot stress this enough, it makes the best whisky sours you will ever have. Must try this one just for the cocktails.
Finish
The finish is spicy, nutty, very slight hint of bitter oak, creamy vanilla and oranges.
