The Balvenie Doublewood 17 Malt Scotch Whisky

The Balvenie Doublewood is a 17 year old single malt which gains its distinctive flavor and character from being matured in two wood types. Over the period of maturation it is transferred from traditional oak barrels to a first fill European oak sherry cask. Each stage lends different qualities to the resulting single malt whisky.

Aroma

As you open this bottle you are welcomed with aromas of sweet fruit with notes of sherry. Hints of honey and vanilla are layered in to create this depth of flavor.

Taste

This single malt whisky is smooth and mellow with beautifully combined flavors. It combines nutty sweetness, vanilla and cinnamon spiciness with a delicate layer of sherry.

Finish

This finishes very long and warm with hints of vanilla and oak that will satisfy your palette.
