Lagavulin 16 Years Malt Scotch Whisky
The distillery of Lagavulin dates back to 1816 located in southern Islay (pronounced 'eye la'), Scotland. This has the driest start of all single malts. A much sought-after single malt scotch with massive peat-smoke but also offering richness and a dryness that turns it into a truly interesting and delicious dram. Full amber in color with a dominant sherry nose. Full-bodied yet smooth. Salty notes and a huge powerful peaty smoke finish. A connoisseur's malt. If you love smoke then you will absolutely love this single malt scotch. A true favorite of Whiskey Times. Lagavulin 16 truly has a special place in our hearts. We always keep it well stocked.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Aroma
One of the smokiness noses from Islay. It's big and powerful with sweet spices and creamy vanilla. The aroma of this smoke is absolutely mouth watering and incredible.
Taste
The only thing to be said about this scotch is that it's absolutely delicious. A true pleasure to drink. It's incredible with its thick, rich and massive amounts of malt and smoke. But still has just the right balance of sweetness to wet your lip. Wonderful peat smoke and oak. If you have never tried scotch and are curious, this is the one to try. Cannot recommend highly enough. Outstanding.
Finish
It finishes long with hints of figs and vanilla. Lingering tastes of smoke and oak. You will want to drink more.
Approx cost: 80.00 USD
